My love affair with Manhattan began more than 20 years ago when I arrived here – determined to achieve success – from Bhutan, a tiny nation located in the eastern Himalayas between India and China. I immersed myself in my new hometown, and as a result, I specialize in all areas of the city. My familiarity with Manhattan’s diverse neighborhoods and cultures allows me to empower you with the information you'll need to make wise decisions that will enhance your real estate experience.
I moved to the United States shortly after graduating from a reputed University, India. While in boarding school, I was chosen to participate in the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh's Award Program, which gives young people an opportunity to develop leadership skills for work and life. I was honored to receive the Program’s Silver Award. Once I got to Manhattan, I never doubted I’d succeed, and began my career in the competitive field of wireless sales. From there, and with only a few hundred dollars to invest, I built a business and opened five wireless retail stores in NYC and NJ that grossed more than two million dollars in sales. From there, I became a Subway® franchisee, and owned/operated two profitable Subway® stores before segueing into real estate. My goal has always been to treat everyone I encounter with kindness, respect, and dignity. My sales and customer service experience, combined with my community service and multicultural awareness, make it easy for me to relate to people with different budgets, backgrounds, and personalities as they begin the process of buying, selling, or leasing a home. I understand that real estate is often the largest investment people ever make, so I use my experience and tenacity as an extreme mountaineer and long-distance runner to go that “extra mile” to make the process as stress-free as possible. I’m uniquely prepared to listen to, and meet, your needs and expectations throughout the process. You’ll find I am always ready with a smile and positive attitude to deal with any situation that may arise when you’re buying or selling a home, or looking for luxurious rental accommodations to share. I’ll work with you to clarify your needs and will be there with you through every step of the way. For Buyers/Renters: I know the sights and sounds, the ins and outs, and market conditions of Manhattan’s various neighborhoods. I will take you from finding the right home in the right neighborhood to negotiating a fair deal we can take to the owner. Together, we’ll locate a place you’re proud to call home; the place you look forward to returning to after work or a day of activities. For Sellers: Marketing real estate has moved beyond newspaper ads and open houses; in today’s market, it takes persistence and creativity. I’ll work with you to assess your property’s sales potential, and then we’ll develop a detailed marketing plan that will incorporate technology, the latest in real estate sales campaigns, and my expert marketing techniques (and sheer determination) to get your property sold as quickly as possible. Outside of work, I read or listen to biographies, motivational stories, and Eastern philosophy. In 1991, I was part of an expedition to scale Mt. Pandim in the Himalayas. Unfortunately, due to inclement weather, we had to return to base after reaching 18,550 feet. I also practice Bikram yoga.
